Not Exactly Roughing It

On Tuesday Christian "had off" (insert fake cough here) so we spent the day at Beaver Creek (the blog post title is their slogan, and for good reason).  It was the only mountain on our pass we hadn't been to.  It is the furthest out, about 2 hours (just past Vail).

The drive in...

Definitely no 70's ski condo's in this town!

We parked in the free lot and hopped on the bus which was only a minute drive up a hill to a lift.

Off we go...

We had permanent smiles.
Not sure if it was because it was a weekday, because we had great weather or what but we were LOVING Beaver Creek :)

Quick stop for lunch

Christian sprayed me with snow & then got some self-inflicted payback...

I usually despise moguls (probably bc on the East coast they tend to be all ice) but I couldn't get enough of them for some reason.  It was good practice for me- which I need!  This video is from more of a blue slope but they had lots of black diamond mogul runs open.

Catwalk to a lift, glorious!  (our legs were tired out from all those moguls!)

We have a phone app connected to our season passes that tracks every move we make on the mountains.  It gives you bar graphs of your elevation, what lifts you went on, if any of your friends are on the mountain, etc.  They have people posted in a few different spots on the mountain that scan your pass & snap your pic.  Then it appears on your phone :)

Another perfect Colorado day!
