My Week & Weekend
This week we got to enjoy some beautiful weather as I'm sure most of you did.
On Monday we headed to our friends house for a little dinner party to celebrate Carolyn's birthday.
Carolyn & her husband just found out they will be moving to Portland, Oregon at the end of the month (she will be starting chiropractic school there in the Fall & he was able to transfer there and stay with his company). We will miss them!!
My client & I tried to take advantage of the nice weather this week.
Playing Candy Land against Bradley, his cabbage patch doll ha |
Drawing Mickey Mouse with some chalk |
We played soccer
Water break |
There was a man there flying a kite and when I asked if we would be in his way he said "Nope I can drive around you." I thought 'drive' was an odd word to use but then I discovered why.... he used the kite to pull him on his bike-thingy. Strange.
Friday we met Carolyn & one of her little guys at Wash Park. We broke the law & fed the ducks & played on the playground.

On Friday night our friends Nat & Tom came into town & stayed with us for the weekend.
They didn't get here until about 10:00 at night Friday we we quickly headed over to Steuben's for a yummy meal before hitting the hay.
On Saturday we walked around the corner for a yummy brunch @ Parallel 17.
They brought us these teeny tiny pancakes to try with passion fruit syrup.
We enjoyed some French beignets
I had a delicious omelet
Christian & Tom had Smoked pork belly benedict, poached eggs, watercress, topped with a five spice hollandaise sauce, home fries
And Nat had the yummy BLT which I have featured on the blog before:
After we took a little breather we headed out to enjoy the beautiful weather at Wash Park:
It was happenin'
This miracle dog could walk on water. He had so much fun chasing the ducks! |
After our walk we headed home and relaxed a bit before we headed downtown to Larimer Square for dinner at Euclid Hall.
A Little Bit of History
Known
as the Father of Geometry, Euclid was a Greek mathematician who lived
around 300 B.C. and wrote the definitive book on geometry called The
Elements. This tome influenced the development of mathematics
for over 2000 years.
for over 2000 years.
The drink categories are titled after various types of math & the happy hour is known as Study Hall.
We ate a lot of delicious food!
First up: Pad Thai Pig Ears
Roasted Beet Ambrosia, yellow beets, red
beet coconut marshmallows, orange, basil,
colada vinaigrette
Sausage Tasting
My favorite was the Boudin Noir, yum!
Black Pepper & Garlic Spätzle, sautéed crisp,
Brussels kraut and leaves, sage crème fraîche
Our booth was near an open kitchen
For dinner (as if we needed more food!) Nat & I shared Le Québécois All Natural Milk-Fed Veal Schnitzel, grilled cabbage stack, currant vinaigrette
And the Tom & Christian each got the Oyster Po'boy, potato bread, bacon aioli, Jorel's hot sauce, cucumber, red onion
It was a great meal!
Afterwards we just hung out at home & all got up early to hit the gym (much needed after all that food!). Nat & Tom headed out in the morning to visit with friends in Boulder.
We had a great time, thanks for visiting Nat & Tom!!
Stanley misses you :)
