Weekend

Friday night Christian and I headed out to the Vine Street Pub for dinner, and to try their 'Best in Denver' wings...mmm.  As we were about to leave and walk to the pub it stormed (again!) so we waited it out then decided just to drive.

They have bag-o on the side of the pub.

When we got there they told us it would be a 2-2.5 hour wait- WHAT?!  Christian claimed he could wait it out... oh boy...I feel a tantrum coming on.   So we got a beer and hung out, and they actually sat us within 30 minutes.  We got some wings as an app- 3 BBQ and 3 Hot.

And they WERE tasty!  I also had a delicious bacon blue burger- so good. 

Saturday we went to Home Depot (that's what your supposed to do when you're married) and went to the market.  We planned on going to a Blues Fest near Wash Park but the weather was iffy, raining on and off so we bagged it.  Instead we went to Collin's sister Allison's house for dinner.  She lives about 20 minutes from us and Collin had just arrived after his road trip from back East (he begins his job as a dentist in Colorado Springs tomorrow- good luck Collin!).  I didn't take any pictures sorry.  I think we've seen enough dog humping on this blog already, which was the majority of what went on during dinner :)

Sunday morning we got to work on our yard.

  Not bad for a first-timer!  Fingers crossed something actually grows... and if it doesn't, it's still an improvement.  We have a bit more work to do but its a good start. After the yard work we showered and laid around.

Then we walked around the shops at Cherry Creek North for a bit.  We planned on heading to the Jazz in the Park night at City Park (3 blocks away) to meet Christian's fellow residents but it rained :(   They hold this free event all summer, every Sunday.  Hopefully the weather cooperates next weekend.  That's it for our weekend...
