Brrr...

On Tuesday night into Wednesday we got our first snowfall here in Denver!  What a fun treat when less than 48 hours before it was 80 degrees out.  It was raining when we went to bed but changed over to snow not long after.   I got up and drove Christian to work at 6:45 am.

I sat inside the car & warmed up while Christian cleaned off the snow :)

Early in the morning Chicken, who never shows her sweet face, was HOWLING to go outside!!  She did sneak out and I had to go and get her...

Hiding behind the wall waiting for her big moment to sneak out again:

When my clients dad brought him to school they had no power, and none when they got back home.  So his dad dropped him off at our house around 10 and went to work.  We played in the falling snow out back and built the worlds most pathetic snowman!

Later my clients mom got word the power was back on so we headed to his house for nap time.
(It stopped snowing in the afternoon)

And spent the afternoon inside the cozy house putting out fires.

Christian and I spent the evening relaxing in front of the TV watching our shows (Modern Family- whats with the repeat?!)

'Get that camera out of my face lady...I'd smack you but I'm too exhausted'

The next morning I was headed out the door to my clients and his mom called and said his dad wasn't feeling well but wanted to do some work from home.  So she dropped off my client to my house for the morning, then we headed to the doc to get his flu shot (nasal spray), and home to his house for lunch.

Making me a burrito in the play-doh oven

How to: eat an apple.

After lunch Dad took over w/ nap time and I headed home.

The snow is melting away.  Our street is now pretty messy from the snow causing all of the leaves to fall off the trees.  There are tons of branches down as well.

yuck.

Whats left of our snowman:

I got bored and started a photoshoot with Chicken:

Guess who made his way into the shoot?  Surprise Surprise...

The shoot ended in an impromptu bath.... poor Chicken!

Lastly, we end with a picture Lisa sent me of my adorable nephew Johnny :)

"Mommy, is my cappuccino ready yet??"
