Children's Museum, Vine Street, Canvas & Cocktails

Wednesday morning Lisa, AJ, and I took the boys to the Denver Children's Museum.   It was pretty crowded (I assume people were off for the holiday) but we didn't lose anyone.   I took most pics with my good camera but I really need to learn how to use it better :(

First they hit up the Whole Foods Market (which I think was Johnny's favorite) and the tree house room.

Dominic pretty much just walked around eating things.  He took something out of another kids cart and the kid hit Dominic over the head with a banana :)

Time to check out

Here is the train room we spent .5 seconds in

The bubble room!

Vapor bubbles

Off to paint...

He didn't last long in this room with paint on his hands but I loved his painting and am going to frame it :)
This was a dress up/music room.

Vet's Office
He LOVED picking up the phone, saying "Hello?  Hi," then hanging up and doing it again and again.

AJ got in a heated argument with an 8 yr old so we left.
Meanwhile Lisa was downstairs in the "baby" section of the museum with Dominic:

*towards the end of our time AJ took Johnny back up to the bubble room where bubbles were now falling from the ceiling.  One popped and a pile of soapy water went into Johnny's eyes- tantrum ensued.   AJ drown him in the water fountain and we left.... in tears :(

Home for lunch & naps

Later that night we went down the street to the Vine Street pub for dinner.

Lastly for this post, Lisa & I left dinner and headed about 10 minutes away to Cherry Creek North.  Thats where the mall and a lot of outdoor shopping is.   Last time Lisa was here we walked by Canvas & Cocktails and she seemed to love it so I signed us up.   Each month they have a calendar of classes and let you know what they will be painting at each class.  They have classes in the morning with mimosas and night classes with a full bar.  It was a lot of fun, and a lot of nervousness on my part!  For now I am just going to give you a sneak peak and show you what out paintings were supposed to look like....

And how they turned out....

(Lisa covered our names with little boys underwear she found in her purse (gag):
