Last night we headed over to the Botanical Gardens for he Festival of Lights. Originally we were going to go to the parade downtown but it was COLD and I didn't want to stand outside for 2 hours. It was the first night the 'festival' was open so I wasn't sure what to expect but it wasn't very crowded (we went at the tail end on purpose). I thought since it was opening night they would have the carolers and all that jazz but I didn't see any :(

We went into the cafe to grab some hot chocolate & coffee for our walk.
They had 3D glasses you could buy that changed the shape of the lights into things like elves, snowmen, etc.
We opted not to get them but I think we missed out- everyone who had them on looked like they had been "eating sandwiches."

Overall it was something to get out and do but not overly impressed.
This morning we woke up to more snow :)
Hopefully tomorrow we will get out to ski, but its going to be very cold!!!
