Telluride- Day I

Last Wednesday after Christian was done work we headed to Telluride, CO for a mini vacay :)  And we have the Zintak Family to thank for it- they let us use their BEAUTIFUL house- thank you so, so much for sharing it with us!!!

It was a long, almost 7 hour drive in the dark (we hit some snow near Vail)!!  

Some inspirational music got us through...

The next morning we could finally see the true beauty of Telluride!

We forced ourselves out of the house early, dropped our skis off at the bottom of the gondola and grabbed some breakfast at Baked in Telluride, yum!

Happy Guy (even though it was still only about 8 degrees!)

 Baked in Telluride burnt down last winter :(  

But its now rebuilt and back in action!

After breakfast we walked to the gondola for skiing.

Telluride got a good amount of snow on Mon/Tue so there was still some powder left for us on Thursday!   We had a great time skiing and enjoying the awesome views in every direction!

After a great day of skiing we rode the gondola back to town and walked up the hill to the house (I am breathing quite heavily here)

After resting a bit and hitting the showers we headed out for dinner to the Telluride Bistro, an Italian restaurant.  We hadn't had Italian in quite awhile and it was very good!!

After dinner we headed home to get some much needed sleep. 

Next up:  Telluride, Day II
