Float Trip

Last week was our Float Trip down the South Platte River.  I think I may have already explained this but we arrived at the campsite and tied all of our tubes to a few cars.  We squeezed in and drove a few miles up the road where we dropped in the river and floated back to our campsite.

We stopped at a gas station on the way up to blow up our tubes (well Brent blew up the tubes).  We were nervous to put too much air in and were thinking that we were definitely going to sink our tubes!  When we got there we saw all the other tubes were at least double ours.  Luckily someone had a pump and we could fill ours up more.

At first Christian & I tied our tubes (hehe) together- bad idea!  Almost filed divorce. But later on we undid the knot and the rope was came in handy keeping everyone together...

Here I am hydrating again.  I called this "the boob."  It was like a giant boob flying from tube to tube.

I believe this is after I jumped tube and swam full blown free style after Garrett's runaway cooler and almost died- I couldn't stand at that part of the river... only to find out it was full of empties.  UGH

People were constantly losing/rescuing shoes (and me).

When we got back to the campsite a few of us hopped back in our tubes and kept going to the "class III rapids"- so much fun!  We kept getting out of our tubes and walking up to do them again and again.  Sorry no pics of that.
