Jazz in the Park

Tonight we went to our first (and last- it ended tonight) "Jazz in the Park."  Every Sunday at 6pm they have a band play at City Park, about 3 blocks from where we live.  We packed up our cooler with beer, wine and cheese and rode our bikes over at about 5:30.  Here are some pics from when we first arrived:

I would estimate there were about 50 volley ball nets set up.  Again...Overkill.

Dorks.
I didn't even get close enough to the stage for a pic of the band, sorry!  We met up with our friends Carolyn, Brent & Lauren and Lauren's parents.  But once they got there I was distracted and didn't get anymore pics.  It was a lot of fun and sad it is the last one of the summer!!  I thought they went into September but apparently not :(  As an estimate (a poor one...) I would say there was definitely over 1,000 people there.  I advise you not to watch the following if you get motion sickness...

All our friends headed over to Civic Park (the park that hosts the COD- circle of death on Wednesdays) for an outdoor showing of Ferris Beuller, but we didn't have the energy...

Stay tuned for this weeks "Denver Cruisers"....
