For the past year I have been in an online program to become a BCBA (board certified behavior analyst)- very boring stuff. This Saturday I flew home to attend my last "course" (this one in person) at Penn State University.
(On a side note it was great to spend Saturday night with my Liv & Riley- they stayed at Grandma's).

I was REALLY dreading this week as I didn't know anyone and I imagined it would be some very long, boring days (and nights). I'd like to say I was pleasantly surprised but overall it lived up to my dreadful expectations. I attended classes every day from 8:30-4:30 with an hour for lunch. It is more of a conference type setting than a class. They flew in the best of the best to speak to us, for example most of the speakers wrote chapters in our textbook. Anywho here where I spent my days:
There were a little over 300 people in the program at the beginning and only half made it to the lats class- yikes! I will be studying over the next 6 months for my boards, then I'm home free.
One good part is that our classes are held in the Nittany Lion Inn so I stayed here and just had to walk downstairs. It's a lovely hotel :)
On Tuesday night Muffy drove up to attend some classes (the National Autism Conference was held at the same time in another hotel). It was nice to have some company- thanks MIL. Of course we spent our evenings shopping on College Ave and exploring .
Everything and anything is Penn State. Overkill if you ask me :) |

After dinner on Thursday there was an Elton John cover band on campus we happened to walk by.

Surprise photo:
It was a dreadful week of classes but it feels so good to be somewhat done with this stuff! I have been counting the seconds until I get back to Denver!! I miss my little family :) See you soon husband & kitties...
